* Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum: If you're going to Montana, you've GOT TO SEE THIS MUSEUM! If you're not going to Montana, you've GOT TO GO TO MONTANA! Curator Otis Kline, founder of the Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum talks with Bob Enyart about the two world renowned laboratories that both reported Carbon 14 in the Edmontosaurus they dug up in the Hell Creek Formation on their museum property! And listen to Bob Enyart's conversation with Jack Horner from Montana State University about Bob's offer of of a grant of $23,000 for MSU to C-14 date their soft-tissue T-rex.

RSR: Steve Austin on Mount St. Helens

* Famed Geologist Dr. Steven Austin on RSR: On this special edition of Real Science Radio, Bob Enyart interviews the senior research scientist from the Institute for Creation Research, Dr. Steven Austin, about his groundbreaking research at Mt. St. Helens, research which forced the hand of the National Park Service to remove their infamous sign about the petrified trees at Yellowstone, and which formed an important part of the pressure forcing geologists to incorporate catastrophism back into their understanding of Earth's past. (See the brief petrified tree video just below.) In the 1990s, Dr. Austin produced the extraordinary video, Mount St. Helens: Explosive Evidence for Catastrophe.

* NG Quotes Scientist on Expectations vs Actuality: The May 2000 issue of National Geographic quotes the U.S. Forest Service's scientist at Mount St. Helens, Peter Frenzen, describing the canyon on the north side of the volcano. "You'd expect a hardrock canyon to be thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years old. But this was cut in less than a decade." As for the volcano itself, while the kneejerk reaction of old-earthers is to claim that most geologic features are hundreds of thousands or millions of years old (see rsr.org/not-so-old-things), this atheistic magazine acknowledges the evidence, that Mount St. Helens, that is, the volcano itself, is only about 4,000 years old! See below.

* Bob's Reply to an Old Earther: You may want to read Bob's short reply below a Mount St. Helens YouTube video to Einschwein, an old-earther who commented saying that he doesn't quite get the point. And, we invite you to comment there also!

* Two Corrections: The first is the more serious and explained at rsr.org/plagiarism regarding Steve's use of Dr. Walt Brown's discovery of the ancient Grand Lake, its 5700-foot elevation, and its breach point. This has caused devastating tension within, and a great hindrance to, the creation movement and thus, to the church and the world. The second far less significant correction regards Dr. Austin's apparent incorrect understanding of the formation of Engineers Canyon near Mount St. Helens.

* RMCF: Tonight, Dr. Austin is speaking in person at the Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship. And see Dr. Austin's Grand Canyon presentation in the embedded video below.

Real Science Radio on Frozen Mammoths

Frozen Mammoth evidence for catastrophism* Kevin Lea and Bob Enyart Discuss "Woolly" Mammoths: In this special edition of Real Science Radio, Kevin Lea, with his background in nuclear physics, talks with Bob about frozen mammoths. Pastor Lea of Calvary Church, Port Orchard Washington, describes the roll of the Earth which explains why we find remains of millions of mammoths (and horses, rhinos, etc.) in the arctic circle where they could not live because while each animal requires many gallons of liquid water and more than a hundred pounds of vegetation per day, the arctic has frozen surface water and gets almost no sunlight through it's long winter, when its scant vegetation is then completely dormant. And of course, woolly mammoths had no wool.

RSR: Jonathan Sarfati vs. Richard Dawkins

* Sept. 2015 Update -- Richard Dawkins 3-to-1 Evolution Challenge: Research in preparation for an upcoming debate led Bob Enyart and his associate Will Duffy to Oxford University in the United Kingdom. With the success of RSR's PZ Myers Troclea Challenge (see the popular evolutionist's reply here), the guys decided to hand deliver a copy of this Dawkins 3-to-1 Challenge to the office of professor emeritus Richard Dawkins, who lectures there for a course titled, Science Literacy: Evolution for Non-Scientists

DAWKIN'S 3-to-1 EVOLUTION CHALLENGE from RSR

Dawkin's Greatest Hoax

* Dr. Jonathan Sarfati on this Special Edition of Real Science Radio
:  The world's #1 creation author Dr. Sarfati takes on the world's #1 evolution author Richard Dawkins in the battle of the books. Dawkin's latest book, The Greatest Show on Earth is refuted by Sarfati's The Greatest Hoax on Earth! In this chat with Dr. Sarfati, BEL's producer re-airs a caller from 1997 who asked about Dawkins and Bob pointed out then that in all Dawkins' books

, this famous atheist doesn't give evidence for evolution: he only assumes it is true. Dr. Sarfati agrees and quotes from Dawkins own book in which he admits that he had never given the evidence for evolution. Huh! [Update: In December BEL spliced audio of Dawkins admitting this with our 1997 caller. See it below or on YouTube: Dawkins Proves Creationist Right.)

* Dawkins' Thoughts About Aliens Are Revealing: This is hardly novel, because forensic scientists routinely distinguish between intent and natural causes. But in the excerpt transcribed just below it's fun to see Richard Dawkins, who eschews Intelligent Design, admit that molecular biology may very well be able to identify intentional design in living organisms. Dawkins claims about aliens implies much about alien physiology which seems to undermine the claim that Darwinism is theoretically falsifiable. Consider these two points. First, on Intelligent Design, in Ben Stein's movie Expelled, Dawkins admits that molecular biology could provide the evidence that life on earth was intelligently designed. And if so...

(1) Richard Dawkins' Aliens Validate the Intelligent Design Effort when he said about the origin of life on earth:

"It could come about in the following way. It could be that at some earlier time somewhere in the universe a civilization evolved, by probably some kind of Darwinian means, to a very, very high level of technology, and designed a form of life that they seeded onto perhaps this planet. Now that is a possibility, and an intriguing possibility. And I suppose that it's possible that you might find evidence for that if you look at the details of biochemistry and molecular biology. You might find a signature of some sort of designer… And that designer could well be a higher intelligence from elsewhere in the universe." -Dawkins

So Dawkins actually says about life on earth that it could be that it may have originated from a higher intelligence, from somewhere in outer space, with aliens who seeded life on earth. Yet that is what ruins scientists careers and even gets them fired: for saying that genetic evidence might indicate that life did not merely arise on earth but was put here by some intelligent agent. And Dawkins is the world's leading evolutionist, and we have him on film admitting the reasonableness of Intelligent Design. Huh! Dawkins' own complaint about his alien segment is stretched to the absurd by his fellow spin-control atheists who have taken his paraphrase of Stein's question to mean that Stein's actual question was edited out of the film. Oh brother. In reality, Dawkins was engaged in his discussion with Ben Stein. Attending a movie marathon, Bob Enyart watched that scene 15 times, and it is obvious that Richard Dawkins was not manipulated or misquoted. Rather, he showed surprising candor when he admitted that the complexity observed by molecular biologists could be evidence that life on earth originated from a higher intelligence. And like Francis Crick, when Dawkins says that life on earth might be too complex to arise here by chance, then he is just punting when he guesses that it could have originated somewhere else.

(2) Richard Dawkins' Alien Evolution Disproves Darwinist Falsifiability: Ostensibly, an alien life form anywhere in the universe (or in the fantasized multiverse) might have no similarity with terrestrial biology, perhaps not even being based on amino acids, sugars, nor even carbon atoms. Thus predictions (which are the stuff of hard science) as used by evolution scientists have no actual real-world specificity, so they cannot even theoretically falsify Darwin's central claim. For in practice, evolution "theory" is pliable enough to account for any observations even if imaginary, like alien physiology.  Thus it is treated like a philosophy and not an actual, falsifiable scientific theory.

RSR: Stephen Hawking is a Lunatic

Stephen Hawking mug shot* Hawking Fears Global Warming: So, he says, let's go to the Moon! Or even Mars! "Life on Earth is at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster such as sudden global warming..." The end-of-the-world doomsayer atheist Stephen Hawking wants mankind to respond to global warming and other apocalyptic fears (like nuclear war) by colonizing the Moon, evidently forgetting that the Moon can be hit by nukes, lacks oxygen, lacks liquid water, and has a daytime temperature of over 200 degrees (107 C). Of course it is the Sun that is source of Earth's global warming, and because Mars is 50 million miles further from our Sun, its temperature ranges from 1 degree F down to 178 below! So Hawking suggests that (questionable) concerns over what has been a customary one degree fluctuation in the Earth's temperature should cause us to flee into about 200 degrees, above and below zero. And if warming really is a threat, why does Hawking overlook the safer havens of Antarctica, Greenland and Siberia? 2015 Update: Humanity must colonize other planets to survive. Yet the closest exoplanet, Alpha Centauri Bb, is nearly 80,000 years away, even for an unmanned craft traveling at 38,000 miles per hour, which is NASA's fastest current speed furthest from the sun.

* Hawking Fears Aliens: Now, Stephen Hawking is urging mankind: "Don't talk to the aliens!" Why not? They may be mean! Like on Star Trek, no? Or even like on Lost in Space, no? And meanwhile, it turns out that if Stephen Hawking agrees with mainstream atheist thought on astrobiology, as always seems the case, the he joins the millions, in an amazing twist of irony, of atheists who actually do believe in the flying spaghetti monster! :) So because they're dangerous, Don't talk to the aliens! says Hawking, except for when he teams up with a billionaire to aggressively seek them out. They're going out to knock on doors even more fervently than Jehovah's Witnesses! :)

* Hawking Fears Artificial Intelligence: Stephen Hawking said in May 2014 ys that we must not dismiss the danger that "highly intelligent machines" may present. The fact that machines have no awareness and never will, and that we speak of artificialintelligence because they have no actual intelligence, seems to be overlooked by the popular doomsayer. Hawking returned to this fear again in December, saying to the BBC that he was worried about creating machines that could think. That is a form of paranoia, since of course computers cannot and never will be able to think. He said also that, "Once humans develop artificial intelligence, it would take off on its own and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate," and: "Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn't compete and would be superceded".

* Hawking Fears the Higgs Boson: Really. Hawking simply worries too much. He must be fearing his own mortality, because afterall, without God, the end-of-the-world atheist prophet astrophysicist Stephen Hawking has only despair. Please pray for him.

Flashback: * Hawking's Circular Reasoning Exposed on Origins: Hawking says, for example, that the matter of the universe came from energy borrowed from the gravitational energy of the universe, to which Enyart asks, "What universe?" If Christianity is true (i.e., if Jesus rose from the dead, 1 Cor. 15:17), then it is likely that it will be simple to refute even the most brilliant scientist's claim that he can explain how the universe originated apart from God. So enters Prof. Hawking who helps us test this theological observation. Stephen Hawking alleges that God did not create the universe but that gravity did. In his famous speech Origin of the Universe Hawking asked, "So, where did the energy come from, to create the matter? The answer is, that it was borrowed, from the gravitational energy of the universe." To this any observer should ask, "What universe?" In the atheist origins camp, as happens generally even at elite levels, Hawking is assuming the existence of that which he is claiming to explain. If you are claiming to explain the origin of the universe, you cannot appeal to the universe itself. That is called cheating. And Hawking claims that the laws of physics produced the universe even though 1) Big Bang cosmology claims that those laws did not exist prior to nor in the first instant after the Big Bang; and 2) laws can't do anything. For example, the law of the conservation of angular momentum doesn't make anything and doesn't start anything moving. Newton's laws of motion don't make billiard balls move on a table but rather, they are used to explain the movements that do occur.

* Hawking Says Our Whole World Is Insignficant, So How About Handicapped People? If handicapped people are insignificant, then how about blacks? Children? The euthanizing of countless infirmed people since the rise of social Darwinist governments is a result of those who claim that human beings are merely animals living on an insignificant speck in the universe. Stephen Hawking doesn't know it, but he will stand again. And he'll wish otherwise. Because this time, he'll be standing before God. Long before Hawking came out as an atheist, he had claimed: "We are such insignificant creatures on a minor planet of a very average star on the outer suburbs of one of a hundred thousand million galaxies. So it is difficult to believe in a God that would care about us or even notice our existence."

RSR: Saved Lakes and Snowflakes

Snowflakes by God* Saved Lakes &Snowflakes, Spiders & Migrators: Bob Enyart and co-host Fred Williams have a fun time on this episode of Real Science Radio talking through the Spring 2010 issue of Creation magazine including on:
- Dinosaurs: first they reduced the number of species by half, now, they're reducing the weight by half
- DNA: IBM looks to the brilliant design of the DNA molecule for ideas for microchips
- Spider Silk: stronger than steal, and a rope the thickness of a garden hose could lift two 737s
- Footprints on a Beach: fossilized provide more evidence like worldwide of rapid fossilization
- Birds See Magnetism: birds' beaks don't sense earth's magnetic field, but they can SEE it

* Lakes are Saved because Water Expands When Cooled: The rule of science is, generally, that materials expand when heated. But not water. The ecosystem in tens of millions of lakes is saved because water expands as it freezes. So the floating ice protects the fish! For otherwise, the ice would sink and freeze lakes from the bottom up, exposing and killing all the fish. By God's brilliant design that takes into account both physics and biology, the ice itself forms a blanket of protection keeping the water below liquid and nice and warm (for a fish that is, 32 degrees and warmer).

* Snowflake Design: Snowflake design is based on chemistry. But the information on a printed page, just like that in DNA, is NOT based on chemistry. And by the way, the man who spent 50 years on scientific research and who thereby introduced the world to the beauty of snowflakes, Willie Bentley, attributed the intricacy, wonder, and beauty of the universe, from snowflakes to galaxies, to our Creator God! Finally, years ago Bob Enyart saw photographs of man-made snowflakes (as at a ski resort) and recalls how ugly they were; RSR would love to display such photos, so if you come across any, please let us know at Bob@realscienceradio.com. Thanks!

* Two Years Later, the Answer to RSR's Request Appeared Online: London's Daily Mail published Snowflakes: scientists capture incredible close-ups, courtesy of the USDA, the U.S. taxpapers, and... God!

RSR: Moving Zebra-like Stripes

Moving stripes* Sounds Fishy, but Zebra-like Stripes can Move: Bob Enyart and co-host Fred Williams have a fun time on this episode of Real Science Friday talking through the January to March 2010 issue of Creation magazine including on:
 - Cuttlefish change color and design by extraordinary and intricate mechanisms
 - Lessons from genes that give personality to dog hair
 - Quick review of caterpillar-to-butterfly nail in Darwin's coffin
 - The 150-million year old squid fossil with ink still able to be reconstituted
 - Retrograde orbits and rotations challenge the condensing Nebula theory of solar system formation
 - Tracks that show dinosaurs dragging its tail, sitting down, and then lifted by water scratched the sand with it's claws
 - Chimps less able to learn than evolutionists had expected
 - Since Darwin's Tree of Life has been debunked, genes are revealing amazing things
 - Programmed cell death undermines survival of the fittest
- Post-show note: the extraordinary ability of the color blind octopus (as shown in the YouTube video below) to turn color almost immediately to camouflage itself.

RSR: God's Philosophers & James Hannam

God's Philosophers by James Hannam* The staff at Bob Enyart Live: say Happy Atheists Day with this special edition of Real Science Radio!

* God's Philosophers & James Hannam: Hannam's book is subtitled, How the Medieval World Laid the Foundations of Modern Science. Join Bob Enyart as he enjoys this transatlantic interview with James Hannam, author of God's Philosophers!

* The Church Never Taught that the World was Flat: Neither the medieval world in general, nor the Christian Church in particular, ever taught that the Earth was flat. (According to the popular secular site LiveScience, the president of the active Flat Earth Society, Daniel Shenton, is an evolutionist. See this and more at rsr.org/flat-earth. And see also creation.com's article on the four corners of the Earth.) But much of western civilization believed that the Sun, planets and stars evolved around the Earth, and that belief greatly slowed scientific progress. So, who gets the blame for retarding scientific progress for 1500 years, the Bible and the Christian Church, or the pagan Greek philosophers Plato and Aristotle?

* Post-show Update: So, not only did the Church never teach that the Earth was flat, the president of the actual Flat Earth Society is himself an evolutionist! And see also a University of California Santa Barbara history professor's great article, The Myth of the Flat Earth.

* Bonus - Enyart and Hannam to Debate Theistic Evolution: James Hannam has agreed to return to BEL soon to discuss his belief in theistic evolution with Bob, who rejects evolution and advocates special creation and a young earth! See Hannam's assessment just below, and enjoy the debate intself at these links:

Real Science Radio: Comets Pt. II

Comet* Kevin Lea and Bob Enyart Discuss the Launch of Comets: In this special edition of Real Science Radio, Kevin Lea, with his background in nuclear physics, concludes his discussion with Bob about comets. (Hear Comets Part I.) They discuss the short lifespans of comets, their composition and orbits, all of which show that comets originated from Earth. The Bible records that the fountains of the great deep broke forth and flooded the Earth and, as it turns out, launched comets into space! Yes, every single comet came from Earth. Check out Walt Brown's fabulous chapter on The Origin of Comets!

* 2013 Update 1: Fun affirmation of Walt Brown's comet theory David Mathisen's comet in the asteroid belt blog!
* 2013 Update 2: Astounding affirmation of the Hydroplate Theory and comet chapter, in comet 1680/ISON's return! :)

* TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT: PERSONHOOD ON THE BALLOT!!  CONGRATULATIONS to Leslie Hanks and Gualberto Garcia-Jones of Colorado RTL and Personhood Colorado! The Colorado Secretary of State has certified that the pro-life Personhood Amendment 62, Definition of Person, will appear on the statewide ballot in November!
