Real Science RadioBest of Real Science Radio

Welcome to Real Science Radio: with co-hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams who talk about science to debunk evolution and to show the evidence for the creator God including from biology, geology, astronomy, and physics. (For example, mutations will give you bad legs long before you'd get good wings.) Not only do we get to debate Darwinists and atheists like Lawrence Krauss, AronRa, and Eugenie Scott, and easily take potshots from popular evolutionists like PZ Myers, Phil Plait, and Jerry Coyne, but we also occasionally interview the outstanding scientists who dare to challenge today's accepted creed that nothing created everything.

RSR: Another missing link, or just a bad set of teeth?

Mental Floss: Dr. Ed Boudreaux, president of RMCF joins Fred in the studio to talk about the memo the good folks in the blizzard-riddled North East, and those in Colorado who just endured a 103 year record-breaking snowfall in February, failed to get - that we're in the midst of man-made Global Warming! Oh wait, its now called "Climate Change". Other fun topics include the Pope's caving in on the Big Bang, another "missing link" (more like missing teeth), and the origin of shaking hands to pass on odors as a signal (huh?).

RSR: Historical & Observational Science Equally Good

Date: Feb 13, 2015 Length: 28:20
Download: Dialup / Broadband Stream: Dialup / Broadband Comment: at TheologyOnline

Ken Ham debates Bill Nye the science guy on creation* Can You Know a House Had a Builder? Creation organizations attempt to diminish "historical" science as compared to "observational" science. That claim, at odds with the overwhelming success of forensic science, comes awfully close to the false materialist claim that you can only really know what your five senses tell you. Question: Can you have a certainty that a house had a builder, even if you did not see your home being built? Yes. For, if you cannot trust your mind to ascertain many things that absolutely have happened in the past, then neither could you trust your eyes about what is happening in the present.

* Arguments Creationists Should Not Use: Don't use the argument that historical science has less validity as compared to observational science. As a Real Science Radio listener says, Answers in Genesis shouldn't pull the rug out from under Ken Ham's own signature flood observation. For, "Billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the earth—is historical science—in action!"

* Reporters/Bloggers Claim Ham & Sarfati Reject Historical Science: Jonathan Sarfati posted on Facebook this week that a friendly reporter overstated her case, in that Dr. Sarfati does not reject historical science, but draws a distinction between it and observational science. Also this week Ken Ham offered, as a seeming general defense of creationism, that his opponents misunderstand the difference between historical and observational science. However, this is no defense of creationism. Arguing against the qualitative distinctions that creationists draw between these scientific disciplines, RSR hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams review this RSR article:

Creation Movement Wrong on Historical Science

Does the creation.com article CSI and evolution use good argumentation or poor and arbitrary evidence to justify its claim of a qualitative distinction between observational and historical science? At Real Science Radio, we suggest that the creation movement generally, and in particular the article’s publisher, Creation Ministries International, and Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham in his debate with Bill Nye, err in their effort to diminish forensic science of the past as compared to the science of ongoing processes.

Comet 67P has rounded boulders contrary to secular expectations but confirming creationist predictions* Another Confirmed Prediction from Creationist Walt Brown: Regarding the confirmation of yet another astounding science prediction, Bob Enyart interviews Dr. Walt Brown, author of the hydroplate theory explanation of the global flood and the many resulting broken features of our Earth and solar system. The European Space Agency has just released high-resolution images of Comet 67P along with the assessment of their scientists that they may have found unexpectedly large rounded boulders (up to 10-feet in diameter) that may be the comet's building blocks! This interview presents this latest discovery which, though it has shocked so many secular astronomers, has confirmed Walt Brown's specific prediction, published 13 years ago in the 7th Edition of his book In the Beginning, about the composition of comets. See more at rsr.org/comets and rsr.org/predictions.

* RSR Volunteer Needed: RSR needs a transcript of the JPG image of John Buchanan's 1905 Letter to the Editor that's over at rsr.org/john-buchanan. If you will do this for us, please then email your transcript to Bob@rsr.org. Thank you! -The RSR Crew

Two Fathers of Evolution Theory and Natural Selection

Download: Dialup / Broadband Stream: Dialup / Broadband Comment: at TheologyOnline

* Alfred Russel Wallace and Charles Darwin: Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart interviews science historian professor Michael Flannery on the two fathers of evolution theory and natural selection, Alfred Russel Wallace and Charles Darwin. To reinforce current scientific dogma, most or all attention is typically given to Darwin with Wallace’ role downplayed because he rejected Darwin’s methodological naturalism, showing that rejection of materialism is not a science stopper.

* Add to this Show Summary: Bob Enyart Live and Real Science Radio are always looking for volunteers to help in many different ways. For example, if you'd like to add to this (and perhaps other) "show summaries", by beefing them up with more particulars, quotes, links to interview subjects, etc., covered in the programs themselves, then please click to "Volunteer" and make sure to indicate "writing" as something you'd like to help with. Thanks so much! -Bob Enyart

RSR Enjoys Don Batten's Creationist Contributions

Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams discuss the great article by Don Batten in a recent issue of Creation magazine titled Creationist contributions to science. As reported in the same Fall 2014 issue, the guys also chat about the evolution professor who went nuts on campus praising Darwin, the two additional canyons that geologists have admitted formed rapidly, and a so-called "primitive" single-celled organism actually being a wildly complex quantum mechanical function. :)

RSR: Jesus & Anne Habermehl Use the Septuagint

Psalm 90 in the SeptuagintReal Science Radio host Bob Enyart interviews creation author Anne Habermehl on the Septuagint, which is a Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, the version of the Scriptures frequently quoted from in the New Testament by Jesus Christ and his apostles. Instead of using a 6,000-year age for the Earth, RSR has always said that God created the Earth "less than 10,000 years ago", in part because the Septuagint's ages for the patriarchs calculates to a 7,500 year old earth. Very recently, Dr. Walt Brown's efforts, see rsr.org/hpt, to scientifically date the global flood, yield a date consistent with Septuagint.

RSR: Renowned Scientist Sternberg on Junk DNA

* Another Man's Treasure: Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart interviews former Smithsonian researcher Dr. Richard Sternberg, one of the key scientists in the history of the debate over junk DNA. Ben Stein's movie "Expelled" profiled this highly credentialed and widely published evolutionary biologist. Bob's guest explains some of the astounding functionality of the human genome and describes the shrinking case for the neo-Darwinist claim that most of our DNA is functionless. Dr. Sternberg also comments on an audio clip from 17 years ago when famed atheist evolutionist Eugenie Scott presented Junk DNA to Bob Enyart as her best evidence against an intelligent designer.

* Sternberg's Bio, Research, & Publications: To keep up with Richard Sternberg (if you can), you can follow his research through his publication and see how his views on evolution changed, all at his site, RichardSternberg.com.

* Dawkins Validates the Intelligent Design Argument: In the film that profiled Dr. Sternberg's ouster from the Smithsonian, Ben Stein's movie Expelled, Richard Dawkins admited that microbiology could provide the evidence for the intelligent design of life on Earth. From about 85 minutes into the film (and 3 minutes into the clip below), Ben Stein asks, "What do you think is the possibility that intelligent design might turn out to be the answer to some issues in genetics or in evolution?" Here's a transcript of the reply:

"It could come about in the following way. It could be that at some earlier time somewhere in the universe a civilization evolved, by probably some kind of Darwinian means, to a very, very high level of technology, and designed a form of life that they seeded onto perhaps this planet. Now that is a possibility, and an intriguing possibility. And I suppose that it's possible that you might find evidence for that if you look at the details of biochemistry and molecular biology. You might find a signature of some sort of designer… And that designer could well be a higher intelligence from elsewhere in the universe." -Richard Dawkins, in Expelled

* See more on Dawkins: For some ironic observations about Richard Dawkins, see realscienceradio.com/Dawkins.

* I Saw "Expelled" 15 Times: As part of the American RTL movie marathon, Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart saw Ben Stein's film 15 times with other ARTL members in Colorado theaters during opening weekend. The widespread claim by evolutionists that somehow atheist Richard Dawkins was misrepresented by editing or tricked about the topic of discussion is untenable. Dawkins is engaged in the discussion with Stein; he admits that the complexity observed in microbiology could be evidence that life on earth originated from a higher intelligence, somewhere out there in the universe. Of course, he claims that such a higher life-form must have evolved by some kind of Darwinian mechanism. But if genetic and cellular complexity provides evidence that life on earth is too complex to arise by chance, then evolutionists like Dawkins and Francis Crick are just punting to claim it must have originated somewhere else. The film is powerful.
