Real Science RadioBest of Real Science Radio

Welcome to Real Science Radio: with co-hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams who talk about science to debunk evolution and to show the evidence for the creator God including from biology, geology, astronomy, and physics. (For example, mutations will give you bad legs long before you'd get good wings.) Not only do we get to debate Darwinists and atheists like Lawrence Krauss, AronRa, and Eugenie Scott, and easily take potshots from popular evolutionists like PZ Myers, Phil Plait, and Jerry Coyne, but we also occasionally interview the outstanding scientists who dare to challenge today's accepted creed that nothing created everything.

* Nice Places vs. Lousy Places: Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams follow two news stories to their inevitable conclusion: biblical creationism leads to life and anything less leads to death. And in another classic RSR segment, the guys read off a list (just below) of nice places to live, and of lousy places to live, based on population density.

* World Mag & Christian Examiner Reports: In addition to the Huffington Post infanticide article we mentioned on air, after showtime today, we found out that Bob was quoted by the Christian Examiner in their Home Depot article about an employee admonishing the company for promoting homosexuality, and that Enyart was quoted in World magazine's report on the Longmont, Colorado criminal who ripped a baby from her young mother's womb and kidnapped the child.

Is the World Overpopulated?
by Bob Enyart

Six people just survived the sinking of an ocean vessel. They are afloat in a lifeboat with only enough water for five. On board are a doctor, a carpenter, a nurse, a blind elderly woman, a sailor, and a counselor.

Public school students given this scenario over the years were then asked, "Who should be thrown overboard?" Environmentalists designed this exercise to teach public students to solve problems by "eliminating" excess people.

Jacques Cousteau said, "to stabilize the world population we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say," he admitted, "but it’s just as bad not to say it." This Hitlerian sentiment, published in UNESCO Courier in November 1991, is not rare among envirochondriacs.

Britain’s Prince Philip, president of the Worldwide Fund for Nature, is quoted by The New American’s Robert Lee, Sept. 5, 1994 saying that he would like to be reincarnated as a "killer virus to lower human population levels." Prince HIVlip, perhaps?

How does anyone know there is only enough water for five? Utterly discredited, yet an authority to liberals, is Population Bomb author Paul Ehrlich, who has apparently not had a single prediction come true. America, he declared: would have widespread food rationing by the late 70s, would be "literally dying of thirst" by 1984, and would have 65 million famine deaths in the 80s. [See more politically correct predictions.]

Jack Fish, Brighton, Colorado public school teacher, school board member and local columnist insisted on KGOV.com’s Bob Enyart Live that the reason for Somalia’s famine was their over-population:

Enyart: What is Somalia’s population?
Fish: I’m not sure.
Enyart: I’m not asking for an exact number, just to the nearest million.
Fish: I don’t know.
Enyart: Well, then, if they are over populated, what is their population density per square mile?
Fish: I don’t know.

Somalia’s density was 29 people per square mile in 1994 and in 2014 has risen to only 36. Apocalyptic doomsayers like envirochondriacs are prone to flatly invent facts. Somalia is under-populated. Underpopulation often does produce famine. Compare Somalia’s population density to countries in Western Europe. As a rule of thumb, countries with greater population density have higher standards of living, literacy rates, and life expectancies. The following numbers for 2014 indicate the people per square mile for:

Nice PlacesDensityLousy PlacesDensity
Austria259Angola39
Belgium919Bolivia23
Denmark332Botswana9
England660Ctrl. Afr. Rep.18

Countries with lower population densities generally have lower standards of living. Notice the scarcity of human beings in the poor nations. Whereas some of the most beautiful places on earth, and certainly the most prosperous and desirable, have tremendously dense populations. An average of 37,500 Tokyo residents live in each square mile of their city. In Paris, 54,899 Frenchmen, women, and children live in each square mile. And the 1.6 million New Yorkers living on Manhattan Island boast a density of 66,940 people per square mile!

You run a motel in a country with less than 35 people per square mile. Four guests all have their window air conditioners running at the same time and a fuse burns out. Trying to open an electrical panel you strip your Phillips-head screwdriver. How far do you have to drive to get a new one or how long do your guests wait for an electrician?

* To Distract from a Planet that Shouldn't Exist
: Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams finally get around to enjoying the first 2015 issue of Creation magazine. Anti-creationists have long claimed that if you have water, you'll get life. Now, to distract the public from yet another exoplanet discovery that falsifies the secular planetary nebulae hypothesis, they're claiming that if you have rocks (like on this newly discovered planet), you'll get life. As for water, it's the universal solvent, so while it is necessary to sustain existing life, it would dissolve prebiotic chemicals. And a rock, is a rock, is a rock. So even if it lacked the hydro-enemy of abiogenesis, rocks also lack information. For while information is needed to build any biological system and any rudimentary genetic encoding scheme, unlike rock, information itself is not physical. The bottom line though is that this new discovery is simply piling on to what had already been known. From RSR's Planet Formation Theory Decimated program:

The California Institute of Technology manager of NASA's exoplanet database, Caltech's astronomer Mike Brown, stated: “Before we ever discovered any [planets outside the solar system] we thought we understood the formation of planetary systems pretty deeply… It was a really beautiful theory. And, clearly, thoroughly wrong."

* Mental Floss: Dr. Ed Boudreaux, president of the Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship, joins Real Science Radio host Fred Wiliams in studio to talk about the memo a lot of good folks failed to get, like those in the blizzard-riddled North East and the Coloradans who just endured a 103-year record-breaking snowfall. Memo: We're in the midst of man-made global warming! Oh wait, it's now called "Climate Change". Other fun topics include the Pope apparently missing RSR's List of Evidence Against the Big Bang, and another "missing link" (more like missing teeth), and the origin of shaking hands to pass on odors as a signal. RSR: Historical & Observational Science Equally Good

Date: Feb 13, 2015 Length: 28:20
Download: Dialup / Broadband Stream: Dialup / Broadband Comment: at TheologyOnline

Ken Ham debates Bill Nye the science guy on creation* Can You Know a House Had a Builder? Creation organizations attempt to diminish "historical" science as compared to "observational" science. That claim, at odds with the overwhelming success of forensic science, comes awfully close to the false materialist claim that you can only really know what your five senses tell you. Question: Can you have a certainty that a house had a builder, even if you did not see your home being built? Yes. For, if you cannot trust your mind to ascertain many things that absolutely have happened in the past, then neither could you trust your eyes about what is happening in the present.

* Arguments Creationists Should Not Use: We recommend that you not use the argument that historical science has less validity as compared to observational science. As a Real Science Radio listener says, Answers in Genesis shouldn't pull the rug out from their own signature flood observation. "It is historical science—in action— to understand Ken Ham's point about billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the earth."

* Reporters/Bloggers Claim Ham & Sarfati Reject Historical Science: Jonathan Sarfati posted on Facebook this week that a friendly reporter overstated her case. For Dr. Sarfati does not reject historical science, but draws a distinction between it and observational science. Also this week Ken Ham offered, attempting to defend creationism, that his opponents misunderstand the difference between historical and observational science. However, this is no defense. Arguing against the qualitative distinctions that many creationists draw between these scientific disciplines, RSR hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams discuss this topic:

Creation Movement Wrong on Historical Science

Does the creation.com article CSI and evolution use good argumentation or poor and arbitrary evidence to justify its claim of a qualitative distinction between observational and historical science? At Real Science Radio, we suggest that the creation movement generally, and in particular the article’s publisher, Creation Ministries International, and Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham in his debate with Bill Nye, err in their effort to diminish forensic science of the past as compared to the science of ongoing processes.

* RSR Addresses Some Absolutes: Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams air audio of evolutionist Richard Dawkins advocating infanticide in the killing of handicapped newborns and toddlers. The guys express their moral outrage and show how widespread this horrific evolutionary development has become. Then, going back two decades into the Bob Enyart Live archives, the guys aired a clip about the killing of two eagle eggs which outraged a couple of pro-choice callers. Update: The Denver section of the Huffington Post quoted "Denver talk-radio host" Bob Enyart saying: "An increasing number of well-known leaders and organizations who are pro-choice are also coming out publicly in favor of killing children, not only before they are born, but also after they are born." The Huffington Post then linked to the same American Right To Life article that RSR had presented, "Pro-Choicers" Who Want to Legalize Infanticide.

Comet 67P has rounded boulders contrary to secular expectations but confirming creationist predictions* Another Confirmed Prediction from Creationist Walt Brown: Regarding the confirmation of yet another astounding science prediction, Bob Enyart interviews Dr. Walt Brown, author of the hydroplate theory explanation of the global flood and the many resulting broken features of our Earth and solar system. The European Space Agency has just released high-resolution images of Comet 67P along with the assessment of their scientists that they may have found unexpectedly large rounded boulders (up to 10-feet in diameter) that may be the comet's building blocks! This interview presents this latest discovery which, though it has shocked so many secular astronomers, has confirmed Walt Brown's specific prediction, published 13 years ago in the 7th Edition of his book In the Beginning, about the composition of comets. See more at rsr.org/comets and rsr.org/predictions.

* RSR Volunteer Needed: RSR needs a transcript of the JPG image of John Buchanan's 1905 Letter to the Editor that's over at rsr.org/john-buchanan. If you will do this for us, please then email your transcript to Bob@rsr.org. Thank you! -The RSR Crew

* Alfred Russel Wallace and Charles Darwin: Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart interviews science historian professor Michael Flannery on the two fathers of evolution theory and natural selection, Alfred Russel Wallace and Charles Darwin. To reinforce current scientific dogma, most or all attention is typically given to Darwin with Wallace’ role downplayed because he rejected Darwin’s methodological naturalism, showing that rejection of materialism is not a science stopper.

* Add to this Show Summary: Bob Enyart Live and Real Science Radio are always looking for volunteers to help in many different ways. For example, if you'd like to add to this (and perhaps other) "show summaries", by beefing them up with more particulars, quotes, links to interview subjects, etc., covered in the programs themselves, then please click to "Volunteer" and make sure to indicate "writing" as something you'd like to help with. Thanks so much! -Bob Enyart

RSR Enjoys Don Batten's Creationist Contributions

Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams discuss the great article by Don Batten in a recent issue of Creation magazine titled Creationist contributions to science. As reported in the same Fall 2014 issue, the guys also chat about the evolution professor who went nuts on campus praising Darwin, the two additional canyons that geologists have admitted formed rapidly, and a so-called "primitive" single-celled organism actually being a wildly complex quantum mechanical function. :)
