* What Conservative Movement? George W. Bush was quoted last week at a speech to kids at a Christian school in Texas that he turned to his “faith and prayer” during “tough times” during his presidency. (Leaving Bob and co-host Doug McBurney wondering where he was turned the rest of the time). This brought on a recounting of an event in "Speechless: Tales of a White House Survivor," a book by former White House speechwriter Matt Latimer. Bush was preparing to give a speech to CPAC. Latimer got the assignment to write Bush's speech. Draft in hand, he and a few other writers met with the president in the Oval Office. Bush was decidedly unenthusiastic. "What is this movement you keep talking about in the speech?" the president asked. Latimer explained that he meant the conservative movement -- the movement that gave rise to groups like CPAC. Bush leaned forward, with a point to make. "Let me tell you something," the president said. "I whupped Gary Bauer[censored] in 2000. So take out all this movement stuff. There is no movement."
* Online Exceptions Calculator: How does your favorite conservative politician stack up when it comes to standing against the dehumanization and murder of an entire class of American citizen? Now you can find out! Most “pro-life” politicians insist they are pro-life with some “exceptions”, such as rape, the life of the mother, etc. Have you ever wondered how many lives were snuffed out due to these exceptions? Go to ExceptionsCalculator.com to find out.
* Picture This: While Matt Drudge and other privacy worshippers may be frightened of a new program by which governing authorities take pictures of car license plates and compare them with stolen car databases, Bob says that while he assumes his license plate is innocent until proven guilty, he cannot protest the cameras… (just in case)
* Personhood is the most significant social movement of your lifetime. Will you go down in history as one who fought to end the systematic dehumanization and murder of an entire class of citizen? Or will you stay on the couch in your comfort zone? If you live in any state in America, you can advance personhood via the 2010 ballot or in one of three different ways. If you live in Colorado prepare for the possible "curing period" by calling or e-mailing Personhood Colorado or Colorado Right to Life and letting them know how many signatures you can get if they need you.
