Bob interviews former terrorist Walid Shoebat

Bob Enyart interviews Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian terrorist, a man born in Bethlehem who began attacking Jews at eight years of age. Walid is now a Christian! His interview begins at 17 minutes into today's program.

A Shoebat family friend Haj Amin al-Husseini (1897-1974) was also an acquaintance and ally of Adolf Hitler and was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem from 1921 until the modern state of Israel was established. During Walid's childhood al-Husseini would visit his family at their home, and so this boy grew up learning to hate the Jews. The lyrics to a song Walid remembers learning in the sixth grade in school was "Arabs are beloved and Jews are dogs." From his childhood Walid recalls being taught in Islamic Studies from the Koran that Jews are descendants of apes and pigs. See the video example below of this sentiment, taken from the Quran's Surah 5:60 as expressed on broadcast TV by an Egyptian Imam. When he was seven years old when remembers hiding in his home during the Six Day War in 1967.
