Bob Enyart reports on yet another Republican federal judge who hates pro-family, pro-life, pro-marriage Christians. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals judge Richard Posner said that those trying to defend marriage as an institution between one man and one woman are operating out of "a tradition of hate... and savage discrimination." This is the fruit of Focus on the Family's campaign, Equal Rights for Homosexuals, from back in the 1990s.
UPDATE -- And Yet Another Republican Judge: Within a couple hours of today's broadcast, another Republican federal judge, Clark Waddoups, nominated by George W. Bush, weakened America's strongest anti-polygamy law by issuing a final ruling against the state of Utah and in favor of a Mormon polygamist. Oh yeah, and as BEL producer Darrell Birkey said to Bob's co-host Doug McBurney, "Now, who could have possibly seen this coming? Oh wait..." Yes, of course, this is one of the many warnings we've issued over the years, including to misguided Christian ministries like Focus on the Family, warning them that Focus' campaign of equal rights for homosexuals would not only directly backfire, but that it would lead to other terrible unintended consequences including the decriminalization of bigamy and polygamy.
