How much of Harvey Weinstein's horrific behavior would be legal even if leading Christian ministries enacted all of their policy goals? Of course, the outright sexual assault and rape of some of the initial 30 women we know about is criminal, thankfully, even under today's corrupt legal system. But of those whom Weinstein hurt, how many of them could he have victimized in exactly the same way that he did, if the law of the land was everything that Jay Sekulow's ACLJ and Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family have advocated over a third of a century? Of course, the immoral Libertarian Party promotes "legalized" abortion, pornography, adultery, crack cocaine, suicide, euthanasia, and prostitution. As an example, when Dr. Dobson was on the president’s commission on pornography, there was no public call to recriminalize pornography (much of which is prostitution), but only to "regulate" pornography. (Just as our national Christian groups fight not to abolish but only to regulate crimes such as abortion, suicide, homosexuality, pornography, adultery, etc. Our leaders repeatedly and only undermine human rights by positioning them as "constitutional" rights, instead of always reinforcing that all innocent persons in every nation throughout history have inherent God-given rights to life, liberty, property, speech, and due process. At the same time, these leaders pretend either by commission, or by omission, that pornography is a free speech right. And when a nation's Christian leaders act as though committing adultery were a human right, that nation will have ten thousand Harvey Weinsteins, and thirty million women victims.
