Theology Thursday: The Flesh

* What is the Flesh? Pastor Bob Enyart draws a comparison between gravity and the flesh. How does the flesh work?

* Related: Fallen man has a built-in, intuitive sense for what is in opposition to God, and he is drawn toward that rebellion. As Jesus said, “I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive” (John 5:43), almost as though men have antennae tuned to seek out their own destruction. Related, the BEL paraphrase of Job 6:30 (and see also Job 34:3): "Just as the mouth can taste good food, the heart knows truth."

- Bob Enyart's debates with Dr. Larry Bray: The president of The North American Reformed Seminary (TNARS), Dr. Bray, twice debates Bob Enyart, the pastor of Denver Bible Church. The topics are: Is Calvinism Biblical? and Is the Future Settled or Open? (The host for these events, reformed believer David New, removed both of these debates from his site. We've rescued the first and put it back online, and Lord-willing we'll recover the second one and get it.
