* What are Asteroids Made of? Nobody knows for sure. We do have what spectrometry has shown us on the surface of asteroids and other CATNOs, (and we have the 5 ounces or so of samples recovered from the surfaces of various bodies in space). Hydroplate Theory predicts the presence of granite, olivine, and other substances found commonly on Earth.

* Number 10: DeepMind’s AlphaStar in StarCraft II (2019). AlphaStar learned to feint attacks—basically fake moves to trick opponents. No one programmed it to lie; it emerged from training. A classic case of deceptive strategy by design.
* Number 9: LLM Sycophancy (2024). Large Language Models will sometimes flatter or agree with you, no matter what you say. Instead of truth, they give you what you want to hear—deception through people-pleasing.
* Number 8: Facial Recognition Bias (2018). These systems were far less accurate for dark-skinned women than for light-skinned men. Companies claimed high accuracy, but the data told a different story. Deceptive accuracy claims.

*Andy McIntosh, PhD: This week Fred Williams and Doug McBurney welcome a brilliant mind in science and design — Dr. Andy McIntosh. He’s a professor of thermodynamics and combustion theory, and he joins RSR to help us understand one of the most sophisticated combustion engines ever observed! He states in his biography that: “At Bangor University in North Wales in the early 1970s... ...At that point we only had Whitcomb and Morris’ book, ‘The Genesis Flood’, and a few others. But to us the issue was clear – what is in the Bible must determine all our beliefs. The straightforward interpretation is 99% of the time, the way to interpret Scripture.”
* Dr. Joel Brown: This week Fred Williams and Doug McBurney welcome Creation Research Society Director Joel Brown. He was a pastor’s son, who chose to trust Christ from a young age. He got his undergraduate degree in Biology Education at Pensacola Christian College and spent ten years in secular research. He earned a master’s degree in biology from the University of West Florida, followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology from Cornell. He then spent five years teaching biology to high schoolers.
He joined CRS in no small part because Ecclesiastes 12:1 reminded him to “remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth.” Dr. Brown wants to help churches, believers, and young people think through some of the greatest questions of all, the questions of our origins and our past.
